Kericho Teachers’ Training College is a Centre of excellence in Primary Teacher Education and training in the Republic of Kenya. It is one of the oldest Public Teachers’ Training College in the Republic of Kenya. It has the capacity to host 1200 students.

The College has a pool of dedicated and competent members of staff of 50 teaching staff and 67 non-teaching staff. Kericho is adequately staff in all areas of learning. The KTTC derives its operations and activities from a comprehensive Strategic Plan currently (2019-2022).

These activities are operationalized through Performance Contract signed between the Board of Management and the Minstry Of Education and this has led to tremendous improvement of College infrastructure and service delivery to our clients.

Kericho Teachers’  Training College has initiated a number of income generating projects, like Farming and chicken rearing. Teacher-Trainees from Kericho TTC are highly sought due to their preparedness in pedagogical experiences and they are also equipped with not only skills and knowledge but also attitudes and character to fit in the competitive job market.

Kericho Teachers’ Training College does not only pride herself its Academic achievements but it is also a powerhouse in co-curricular activities namely: Games, Sports, Athletics, Drama and Music. From the Performance in both academic and co-curricular, Kericho Teachers’ Training College is in the right direction towards achieving its mission of  ‘A model institution in the training and development of competent and multi-skilled teachers‘.

I am proud to note the Kericho Teachers’ Training College have produced highly trained Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) Teacher-trainees and are capable of handling grade 1, 2 and 3 classes.

Kericho Teachers’ Training College also engaged the use of digital technologies and the internet, which are potentially powerful enabling tools for educational change and reform to implement its curriculum.
